GENERAL ORDER NO. 3
UNTIL FURTHER ORDERS, THE TROOPS OF THIS CORPS WILL STAND TO ARMS EVERY MORNING FROM 3 OCLOCK UNTIL DAYLIGHT. EACH COMMANDER OF DIVISION, WILL INSPECT HIS LINES AT LEAST ONCE DURING THAT PERIOD, AND EVERY COMMANDER OF BRIGADE WILL PASS ALONG THE FRONT FROM THE RIGHT TO THE LEFT OF HIS BRIGADE, AND BACK BY THE REAR TO THE RIGHT AGAIN, AND AFTER AN INTERVAL OF THIRTY MINUTES WILL AGAIN MAKE THE SAME TOUR. THIS INSPECTION WILL CONTINUE AS LONG AS THE BRIGADE STANDS TO ARMS.
